Busy busy!

It's been an exciting and busy time for me. Along with all the Canadian Scrapbooker excitment (BTW I'm also featured on their website) I have been busy preparing submissions for the Epiphany Crafts design team call. I applied for their "jewelry design, hair accessories, fashion items, basically anything fun" team.

The first item is an up-cycled scarf made from an old t-shirt. I used Cosmo Cricket DeLovely paper to customize three round 20 buttons as an accent. Thanks to Alissa for being such a co-operative model!

The next items are retractable ID badge holders. These things are so ugly I just had to glam them up! Now I'm rollin' the tight steeze! I used Cosmo Cricket Circa 1939 paper on the round 25 bubble caps and added some bling around the edges.

The final item is a broach. I customized a round 25 bubble cap with a metallic pink paper. Then I used Clearsnap Design Adhesive in Brocade covered with silver fog Designer Foils on the top of the bubble cap. Finally I attached the bubble cap to two beautiful Prima black satin leaves from their Lovely Collection.

I'm on pins and freakin' needles waiting to hear! They are supposed to announce the new design teams tomorrow. Fingers crossed please!

I'd also like to share with you the first project from the Mouse, Paper, Scissor class I'm taking. This is an observation journal. Hiedi is giving us prompts to journal on everyday and we will use our journalling in the last week of the class to create some awesome paper! The collages on the inside of the book I made from my own stash of paper embellies.
